This course will introduce you to Carson City, Nevada, once the smallest, but one of the most important state capitals, as well as a garden and social resort of the Comstock, and an oasis of civilization in the desert.  Participants will travel to Carson City, Nevada and make on-site visitations to the Nevada State Capitol Building, the Nevada State Museum (Old Mint Building), and the Stewart Indian School Museum. Also at this site is the Nevada State Railroad Museum, the Stewart Indian School Campus, and other sites of historical interest. The process of Nevada becoming a state, the relevance of Nevada’s contribution to California, and President Lincoln’s evolvement is studied.
