Research from the past two decades shows that the largest gains in student achievement can be seen in proper application of classroom-level formative assessment. This course is an introductory look at formative assessments within a standards-based instructional model. Participants will learn proven models of formative assessment and practice its application in the classroom. In addition, participants will learn the process of creating effective formative assessments, review and evaluate models formative assessments, and create a formative assessment process to implement in a classroom. Finally, participants will reflect on their assessments. All course materials are included in the fees.
